How Well Did I Fast: 30 Days Fasting Review

We have two days left until our 30-day RCCG Fast concludes. Is it just me or did time fly by really fast?

Before we cross the finish line, let’s pause.

This isn’t just about completing 30 days. It’s about asking:
What has God done in me?

Instead of rushing to the end, let’s take a spiritual check-in.

Not to judge ourselves.
Not to feel guilty.
But to reflect honestly.

Take a quiet moment. Pray. Then go through these slowly.

1. Has my spiritual hunger for God increased?

  • Do I desire prayer more than I did 30 days ago?
  • Am I more aware of God throughout my day?
  • Do I find myself depending on Him more?

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” — Matthew 5:6

2. What has God revealed to me about myself?

Fasting exposes things.

  • Did impatience surface?
  • Did distractions become obvious?
  • Did God highlight certain habits or attitudes?

Conviction is not condemnation. It’s correction in love.

3. Have I been consistent, and if not, have I been honest?

It’s okay if you didn’t fast ‘perfectly’. Some days fasting can be a struggle.

Ask yourself:

  • Did I give God my genuine effort?
  • When I fell short, did I run back to Him or hide?

Remember: God values sincerity over performance.

4. What prayers have shifted?

Some prayers may have been answered.
Some may still be pending.
Some may have changed completely.

  • Do I trust God more now than when I started?
  • Has my perspective matured?

Fasting doesn’t always change your situation immediately; sometimes it changes you first.

5. What am I carrying forward?

This is the most important question.

  • Will my prayer life drop after March 2?
  • Will I return to old habits immediately?
  • What discipline do I want to maintain?

Fasting is temporary. Intimacy with God is not.

As Christian youths, this fast was never about endurance alone. It was about alignment. About growth. About surrender.

You may not feel dramatically different, and you may not have seen fireworks. But growth is often quiet, subtle and gradual.

And God sees it all.

Closing Prayer

Father, thank You for bringing us this far. As we approach the end of this 30-day fast, search our hearts and help us reflect honestly. Show us the growth You’ve produced and the areas You’re still working on. Help us not to return to old patterns, but to carry forward deeper intimacy, stronger discipline, and greater hunger for You. Let this fast leave a lasting mark on our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for taking the time to read. We’re grateful to have you here. Please check back every Saturday for new posts on the blog as we continue to grow together in faith and understanding.
