This post is not to lecture or introduce the Holy Spirit to you.
I’d like to believe most of us have heard about the Holy Spirit and might’ve even had an encounter with Him. This post is to remind you, using the Word, that the Spirit of God is more than just the Spirit that moves you to tears during worship, but someone that you can look to in every minute of every day.
And at the end of this post, ask yourself, “Who is the Holy Spirit to me?”
The Holy Spirit is:
– The Spirit of Truth John 14:17
The Holy Spirit is here to reveal the truth to us when we ask Him. Who is Truth? Jesus.
– A Counsellor John 14:26
God is not expecting us to rely on ourselves to please Him. He truly has given us everything we need to live a life that pleases Him.
– The power of God to make the impossible possible, Luke 1:35, Acts 1:8
The Holy Spirit gives us the power and strength to do the things that we ordinarily wouldn’t be able to do. Mary received the Holy Spirit to be able to conceive Jesus. The disciples also received the Spirit to spread the gospel.
– The Revealer of God’s Thoughts/Plans 1 Cor 2:9-10
Only those who have the Spirit of God can know the plans He has for them. The Holy Spirit knows the thoughts of God, and He is given to us so that through Him, we may discover God’s purpose and intention for creating us, and then our hearts will begin to move in the same direction as God’s. Our hearts’ desires begin to align with His will.
– Our Guide and Revealer of God’s Wishes, John 16:13-14, Luke 10:21
The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth. He manifests God’s glory in our lives. He doesn’t speak on His own accord, but He reveals what He hears from God and shows us our future.
– A giver of gifts 1 Cor 12:7-11
The Holy Spirit manifests in us through various gifts, wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, performing miracles, prophecy, distinguishing between spirits, speaking in tongues and interpretations.
The Holy Spirit is an advantage given to us by our loving Father to navigate this weird world so let us try to not strifle the Spirit 1Thess 5:19
Now, who is the Holy Spirit to YOU?
Thank you so much for reading.

The Holy Spirit is “my ever-present help” .
One of scriptural treasures is found in Ps.56.3 & says “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You”.
This speaks directly about I and the Holy Spirit, cos at every point in time where I need help, I’m reminded that he’s ever-present to help me.
Truly, He is ever-present. Beautiful verse
Thank you sir
